God knows how many times i wanted to make you a tribute worth of you and could not find the words to express myself. To many you were The General, to me you are Khalil Kanaan. You have been a second father to me; a second father that chose me; and Mona is and will always be my second mother. I lost you while i was quite young but still keep indelible memories of you and the time spent with you: Your self-assurance; your strength that gave courage to the people by your side; your smile; the joy you spread; your courage; your integrity.... You were a great man that inspired many of us. |

I knew him: A truly remarkable man. A perfect leader, both firm and caring. An example to remember and follow for all those who had the good fortune to know him. Cowardly murdering such a noble soul is an unforgivable sin. Such evil spirits have no place in society. |
